Our Impact Story

“The streets once filled with scattered waste now echo with the spirit of community cooperation.”

(In February 2025, waste collection in one of the ULB of Pilibhit U.P. began with only 14% participation and no segregation, leaving streets littered and cleanliness seemed a distant goal.)

“The team didn’t just collect waste — they collected trust, going door to door, talking, listening, and teaching.”

(Daily waste collection, combined with awareness sessions on segregation, hygiene, and income from recyclables, helped generate awareness, while community events made the campaign lively and engaging.)

“At first, I didn’t think it would work. Now, my children remind me every morning to keep dry and wet waste separate.”

(The community was at the heart of this initiative. During the community events, people came together not just to compete, but to learn, discuss, and commit to change. These programs became moments of unity and pride for the neighborhoods involved.)

“Change didn’t happen overnight — it was built door by door, conversation by conversation.”

(The journey wasn’t easy. The team faced low awareness, resistance to segregation, misconceptions, logistical delays, seasonal disruptions, social hesitation, and some households continuing to give mixed waste despite repeated visits. Through patience, demonstrations, and consistent follow-ups, these challenges became opportunities to educate and build trust.)

“What once smelled of waste now smells of change.”
